Eco Farm

Leaving Rio was a bit depressing. I did not think that it would grow on me like it did and I really would have like a week or two here.

Inside of Brasilia's ultra-modern airport

The flights took me to several stops, including one in Brazilia. A town like DC, i.e. the nation's administrative center, but much newer

The people who live and work in Brasilia seem to be quite happy here.

The little Mercedes tourist mini-bus took about eight of us to the Eco Farm pick-up spot. The weather was, as you can see, quite variable, something that I had been struggling with for much of the trip. We stopped for lunch. A place that was mainly a truck stop that served a hearty meal for a reasonable price.

Three or four of us were picked up in this old ranchero, here one of the passengers, Anaelle, from France, and there was a guide along, too. There are a number of these eco farms in the area and depending of who the hostels contracted with, that's where the guests went. Ours was the Santa Clara Farm.

Our guide said that there were periods when there was no fishing allowed in this river, of all but one fish, piranha. There is no limit and no restriction for them

Swiss girls. The little one is sweet, chatty, and not as crazy as it seems here. I hope she sees this. She'll get a good laugh out of it.
